Why did you become involved in PWC NJ?

Having spent a significant portion of my career in other industries, it quickly became apparent how underrepresented women are in the construction industry. The management team at JAG Companies recognizes this disparity as well and is striving to encourage women to enter the industry, while also proudly supporting PWC NJ. Our JAG Companies leadership (Northeast Remsco Construction, Caldwell Marine International, and Huxted Trenchless) is committed to fostering an environment where women can thrive, and we believe that organizations like PWC play a vital role in providing the support, resources, and professional connections that help drive career advancement and long-term success.

What is your favorite part about being a member of PWC NJ?

My favorite part about being a member of PWC NJ is the community it fosters. The events are always fun and engaging, offering opportunities to network with other professionals who not only understand the challenges we face in the industry but are also open to sharing their experiences and insights.

I value the mission behind PWC—especially the efforts to raise scholarship funds for the next generation of women entering construction. It’s inspiring to be part of an organization that’s making a tangible difference now and for the future.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

The best piece of career advice I’ve ever received in my career is: Don’t wait to be invited to the table — pull up your chair. Early on, I was reminded that confidence isn’t arrogance, and that showing up fully with ideas, questions, and presence — is how progress is made. It is important to speak up, stay visible, and support other women as they rise.

Anything else you would like to add?

I’ve been continually impressed by the remarkable support within the construction industry. There’s a unique spirit of collaboration and a shared commitment to the greater good of the project, whether it is with employees from your company or industry partners. People willingly network, share resources, and lend a hand in ways I rarely encountered with my previous work in consumer goods, medical devices, and scientific industries. Construction has been, without question, the most welcoming and encouraging environment I’ve experienced—where the willingness to lift each other truly sets it apart.
